Our client is a remote-only, US-based company that develops and distributes category-leading premium nutrition products. A team of 30, the organization is expanding and wants to continue to build an extraordinary culture.
The mission of the Head of People & Culture is to establish the people function, promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including job design, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, training & development, talent management and culture initiatives.
The role reports to the CEO and CFO. The company is based in the US, EST time zone.
OUTCOMES
- Source and implement HR tools (HRIS, ATS, etc.) and other relevant tools in collaboration with Manager Business Operations and Projects
- Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company staff; assist in development and implementation of staff policies and procedures
- Conduct new hire employee orientations, accurately complete requisite paperwork for new staff members
- Maintain compliance with state, federal and international regulations concerning employment
- Counsel employees regarding human resources policies, procedures, and practices
- Provide human resources-related training
- Create job requirements and job ads based on role descriptions
- Coordinate recruitment process for roles sourced without a recruiting partner; initiate and coordinate recruitment ads; review applications/resumes; assist managers with screening applicants; ensure offers are made in accordance with procedures; coordinate new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures
- Coordinate recruiting partners for roles sourced with external recruiting agency
- Create and launch a career website in line with employer brand and integrated with HR tool(s)
- Create, manage and help execute role specific tool-supported onboarding plans with functional leaders
- Implement systems to monitor and improve both recruiting and onboarding effectiveness
- Helps build the right employer branding to facilitate successful recruiting activities
- Develop competitive compensation structure in collaboration with CEO and CFO
- Set up a reward system that supports performance management for employees and contractors
- Evaluate, set up and maintain an attractive benefits package
- Identify employee needs with regard to performance problems, training options, and career development and implement trainings accordingly
- Develop training and development landscapes as well as career paths to ensure long-term team engagement
- Design and implement a the right performance management process that ensures all team members get valuable feedback and are aligned on strategic goals
- Monitor performance evaluation process and guide C-Suite and Directors in the process
- Partner with CEO and directors to plan, analyze, and develop staffing needs and further develop organizational structure
- Provide input on strategic decisions from an HR perspective
- Launch real-time initiatives in a variety of areas such as climate surveys, etc.
- Establish a structured approach to change management and communication
- Drive the development of a high-performance culture and actively manage employee engagement
- Help build an employer brand
- You have a proven track record of supporting a scaling organization going from 30 to 80 employees as an HR generalist
- You are experienced in designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning and development and talent management programs
- You have knowledge of employment law and in setting up international teams
- You are experienced in choosing and implementing HR Information Systems and applicant tracking systems
- You are experienced in designing, writing and implementing HR policies, procedures, offers and contracts of employment
- You have knowledge in payroll and payroll procedures
- Efficiency: You are able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
- Ownership: You act like a partner to the CEO, leadership team and directors and fully own the people aspects of the company while never losing touch to the business needs
