As the leading SaaS growth platform for marketing agencies, we help agencies automate the tedious task of reporting and creating dashboards from dozens of marketing channels.
As the Director of Content and SEO, you will own and oversee all SEO performance for our websites. You will be responsible for the planning, optimization, and reporting across multiple on-site and off-site SEO initiatives to accelerate our monthly run-rate traffic and lead growth goals. You will report to and work with the CMO to plan and develop monthly and quarterly targets from organic search and content marketing.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, motivated team leader with the right experience to hit the ground running while being able to prioritize efforts in order to generate maximum impact.

The position is 100% remote and only eligible for those who are authorized to work in Canada. 


What You’ll Do
  • Report and analyze results on key C-level KPIs including share of search, aggregate lead growth, and assist CMO to plan and project monthly/quarterly targets
  • Ownership of new customer goals from organic channels
  • Guide and maintain editorial vision across all content and assets
  • Lead a group of internal and external content creators to deliver ICP (ideal customer profile) targeted and thought provoking content
  • Plan and prioritize SEO campaigns and content distribution with content marketing, social, and web development teams to deliver quantifiable results
  • Build the technical SEO team as needed by hiring talented writers, landing page designers, and other SEO resources
  • Scope and write development requirements for new website features and work with the internal web development team (and/or external teams) to improve on-page technical SEO and drive traffic
  • Lead A/B testing and optimizing processes to conduct SEO experiments to achieve breakthrough traffic and lead growth at both site-level and keyword-level
  • Oversee and manage all link development processes and campaigns with internal and external resources
  • Research and monitor competitor activity and search market industry trends to gain competitive advantage and innovate new strategies
  • Collaborate with paid media and product marketing teams to identify growth areas in branded and non-brand search
  • Regularly audit and monitor website performance and work with the web development team to identify, recommend & implement technical SEO maintenance and enhancements
Job requirements
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing SEO with a proven track record of results for agencies or inhouse SEO
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a high performance content team with emphasis on content and creative
  • Proven track record of critical thinking, rigorous testing, and macro-level optimization to break through traffic plateaus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate data-backed SEO strategy and results with both developers and C-level management
  • Proven record in and applied knowledge of scalable and non-scalable link building tactics and techniques
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Data Studio, Power BI, and other common reporting platforms
  • Expert understanding of SEO tools including AHRefs, SEMRush, Majestic, Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl, Google Search Console, and others
  • Fluent in content and SEO best practices including but not limited to Core Web Vitals, accessibility etc
  • Experience with video and podcast SEO for YouTube, Wisita etc.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a bachelor’s degree in English literature, mass communications, journalism, or business from an accredited college or university
  • SaaS/Tech industry experience is an asset
