Berkeley Lab – California – Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s ( ) Division has an opening for a Senior Research Associate (Sr. RA) to join the team. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the production of transgenic, knockout, and knock-in mouse models. You will carry out various duties to support the transgenic mouse group and molecular biology lab as part of several projects aimed at identifying regulatory elements of importance in cardiovascular, limb, craniofacial, and brain development, and diseases. Specifically, you will generate transgenic/genome-edited mice and test evolving genome editing technologies (CRISPR/Cas9) via pronuclear microinjection of mouse eggs and surgical transfer of them into recipient mice. You will interact with the three Principal Investigators, the Transgenic Production Lead, postdoctoral fellows, and scientists to gain an understanding of their research needs.
